“Digital & Healthcare: Towards an (e)healthier future” is the Keynote Presentation by the PHI President Roberto Ascione that will open the IADIS e-Health Conference 2011.
According to the conference main scope, which aims to draw together information systems, practitioners and management experts involved in developing digital technology to improve healthcare quality, Roberto Ascione’s presentation will focus on key trends of the upcoming generation of digital developments, communications and information technologies that are relevant to the new approaches in healthcare that are included in ehealth.
In particular, Ascione will point out how digital is changing healthcare, by creating completely new paradigms and by co-driving some of the key transformations in health and medicine. These transformations have facilitated the emergence of rapid and dynamic interactions, driven by the active participation of users who generate content and, more recently, services.
Now, the challenge for e-health communications actors such as PHI is to embrace the change while evaluating its impact on our society.
